The Opportunity
Salary: £42,708 to £45,718 per annum
Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week
Location: County Hall, Chichester and working from home (Hybrid)

As a Learning and Development Specialist you will be working as part of a team of Learning and Development Specialists. The Learning and Development team are professional, enthusiastic, creative and empowering. The team support WSCC staff and our partners to develop the skills and knowledge to undertake their roles effectively, creating a culture of continuous learning and growth, whilst also working in ways that role model our values and cultural aspirations.
You will design and deliver learning activities within a quality and professional framework, ensuring that learning objectives are met, using a range of methods including:
* Face to face training courses
* Online courses delivered via webinar using MS Teams
* Interactive workshops and group facilitation
With a core focus on Management and Leadership Development, you will support all areas of Corporate Learning and Development. This includes supporting service priorities such as the embedding of good quality management practice and delivering the Mental Health First Aider training.
You will be designing and delivering learning solutions that best meet the needs of our learners and internal stakeholders, working from an initial specification from the Learning and Development or Organisational Development Consultant.

In addition to you having a professional learning and development qualification or relevant experience, you will need to:
* Have excellent collaborative working abilities, be effective in working in partnership to co-design solutions, and be able to think strategically.
* Have confident presentation skills.
* Have the ability to work proactively and think creatively to produce learning solutions that achieve desired outcomes effectively, efficiently and within timeframes.
* Be able to establish and maintain credible working relationships with key stakeholders.

* Have a drive to support and enable others, to be the best that they can be and provide a great service.
* Demonstrate professional knowledge of management practice and theories including coaching, management fundamentals and change management.
