We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Tenancy Management Officer, on a 2.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £16.29 - £24.92 per hour
Summary:
The Tenancy Management Officer is responsible for delivering comprehensive tenancy management services, ensuring residents can live independently and sustain their tenancies. This role involves engaging with tenants from the initial property viewing stage to the full management of their tenancy, identifying risks early, and working with multi-agency partners to support successful tenancies. The officer plays a crucial role in preventing homelessness and maximizing the use of social housing.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a designated patch of tenancies across various tenancy types.
2. Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to prevent tenancy failures.
3. Apply the Councils Customer Care Standards, ensuring high levels of service.
4. Contribute to service planning and participate in casework supervision.
5. Ensure timely processing of tenant and leaseholder requests related to their statutory and contractual rights.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ, Diploma, or degree in a related field) or equivalent experience.
2. GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade A-C) or equivalent.
Experience:
1. Experience in tenancy management within a social housing environment.
2. Knowledge of Housing and Landlord & Tenant legislation.
3. Ability to assess and manage risks related to tenancy failure.
4. Experience collaborating with multi-agency partners to support tenants.
5. Proven ability to deliver customer-focused services.
