What you'll be doing As Business Development Manager, your role will be multi-faceted, blending strategic planning, partnership development, and client management. You will ultimately be responsible for attracting a sustainable pipeline of visitors, both domestic and international, to Northern Ireland’s sites. You will directly sell, negotiate and agree terms with clients, primarily through attendance at travel trade, tourism and business development events. You will monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management. Both conservation and commercially minded, you will know what makes a great visitor experience. You will review and conduct research to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement. You will use your knowledge to develop and implement strategies to find the right balance of visitor and revenue streams. This includes creating long-term business plans and setting achievable targets. You will collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute appropriate marketing activity,. You will also ensure that all promotional activities align with the National Trust's brand and values, maintaining a consistent and positive image of our places. You will identify and establish partnerships with local businesses, tourism agencies, and international partners to develop a sustainable business model. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Building and maintaining these relationships is crucial to our mission, and you'll play a key role in fostering these connections. Who we're looking for You'll need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: •Experience of working with stakeholders, developing internal and external relationships. •Strong knowledge and understanding of the tourism industry, and experience of developing business relationships •A track record of strong negotiating and networking in a Business to Business environment •A proven track record in evaluating and analysing commercial opportunities and business growth. •Excellent organisational and time management skills, experience of managing competing priorities and demands. •Great communication and negotiation skills, you’re the perfect ambassador for our work. •Creativity and insight to inform new product development and to develop new ventures and partnerships.
