Responsibilities:
* Identify areas for quality improvement and develop cost-effective solutions while maintaining key quality objectives.
* Review processes and products to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage the delivery of cost-reduction plans.
* Drive efficiency improvements, focusing on process enhancements and reducing setup times in the machine shop.
* Act as the first point of contact for production issues, coordinating with relevant departments to resolve problems.
* Support the resolution of supplier quality issues.
* Reduce waste by eliminating unnecessary activities, minimising material scrap, and enhancing overall efficiency.
* Improve first-time pass rates for end-of-line product testing and reduce time spent on rework.
* Deliver measurable improvements in product-level and business-level gross margins.
* Enhance on-time delivery performance.
Requirements:
* Strong background in manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
* Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
* Ability to engage with teams at all levels to gain buy-in and drive change.
* Problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach to implementing solutions.
* Understanding of quality, cost control, and efficiency optimisation in manufacturing.
