Production Quality Controller Location : Haslingden Job Type: Permanent Working Hours: 38.5 hours per week Salary : £29,000 increasing to £31,000 after successful probationary period. If you are passionate about quality assurance, assessing and training a team, and leading by example this could be the role for you Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing: Working with the production team on shift to ensure: Health & Safety requirements are adhered to. BRCGS/Hygiene requirements are met in accordance with BRCGS accreditation. Product quality is achieved consistently in compliance with ISO 9001. Communication is effective in all operational areas. Operators demonstrate attention to detail. Optimum production outputs are attained. Scrap rates are controlled. You will: Engage with management – seeking advice/training in areas of difficulty, promote ideas that could improve operations. Calculate job finish times & plan job changes to minimise scrap and downtime. Fill out paperwork accurately. Carry out quality check by line & record details. Advise on any necessary relevant adjustments needed following this check. All colleagues on shift should work as a team and not just for the lines responsible for. A Few Things About You: Able to communicate effectively with people in order to exchange information pertinent to production. Great analytical skills to determine most likely root causes and advise on appropriate corrective actions. Ability to work under pressure and time constraints. Good interpersonal skills to build and maintain great working relationships with colleagues. Strong organisational skills, enabling you to priorities activities and manage workload. Ability to work independently or part of a team. Strong leadership skills with the ability to build rapport and influence others. Basic computer literacy. Your experience will include: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a quality assurance role in the field/industry or similar. Must understand the basic concepts on quality assurance, such as control principles, methods, and systems. When You'll Be Working: You will be working an average of 38.5 hours a week, covering days and nights 07.00am to 19.00pm or 19.00pm to 07.00am.
