P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Dereham on a full time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for companies, sole traders & partnerships.
2. Personal and corporate tax return preparation & completion.
3. Client bookkeeping and management accounts for a variety of businesses, using mainly Sage 50, Xero & QuickBooks.
4. VAT return preparation & transmission.
Person Specification:
1. Good communication skills, happy to converse with clients and able to work in a team.
2. Experience in a similar Bookkeeping / Accounts Assistant role.
3. Must have good experience of Sage, Xero & Quickbooks.
4. Ability to work solely with minimum supervision.
5. A personable, customer driven, people person.
6. Have a positive can-do attitude.
7. Have a passion to go the extra mile to support client queries.
8. Must be able to work to strict deadlines.
9. Practice experience an advantage.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Qualified by experience or have an accountancy qualification.
2. Current and relevant experience within an accountancy practice environment.
3. Prompt client contact and liaison providing a top-class service, going the extra mile.
4. Supporting the Directors with new ideas for best practice and forward-thinking accounting.
5. Experience of Accounts & Tax Software.
