Established in 1996 in the Lecale area of Co Down, Eco-Seeds is a ‘not for profit’ organisation that produces native origin Irish Wildflower seed using their own range of professional services and specialist machinery to establish native flora habitats. EcoSeeds deliver a broad range of projects, from large-scale habitat restoration projects to community planting projects.
EcoSeeds work with a variety of organisations including government departments and local councils. Due to continuous growth, we are looking to recruit a Seed Producer.
Seed Producer / Horticulture
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Making up seed orders.
* Assisting with the planting and harvesting of seed.
* Cleaning, drying and processing seeds.
* Operating machinery.
* Contracting, hydroseeding and brush harvesting.
* Ensure production targets are met.
* General horticultural work and record keeping.
The Person:
* Horticultural/Agricultural skills are highly desirable.
* Experience working within a production environment.
* Good working knowledge of processing environment.
* Administration and IT skills would be advantageous.
* Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
* Full clean driving licence is essential.
Please note this role will be mainly based outside.
The role is permanent full time 37.5 hours per week, 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
