Wiring and assembly of machinery including Control panel wiring and mechanical assembly/fitting. Key Areas of Responsibility: To undertake the assembly and manufacture parts & assemblies to the point where they are complete machines and ready for test. Tasks to be undertaken: Control Panel Assembly and Wiring. Mechanical fitting and assembly of parts, sub-assemblies and finished machine Finishing and Packaging of finished machines Wiring of chamber Testing of chamber using instructions provided. Self inspection of finished items using laid down methodology. Improve assembly methods and practices to reduce costs and minimise waste. Ensure quality work produced to minimise non-conformities. Ensure provided Work Instructions and methods are adhered to the letter. Ensure tidiness, cleanliness and standards of ‘housekeeping’ in own work area and throughout the workshop Training of other employees as required. Picking and packing of Spares Orders. Required Skills/Qualifications: Competence in undertaking general electro mechanical assembly or finishing operations. Competence in wiring control panel installations in accordance with best practice standards. Competence in pneumatic installations in accordance with best practice standards (but training can be given in this area). Competent mechanical fitting skills. As defined by any future skills matrix that is both reasonable and achievable. Fork truck Licence would be an advantage but not necessary. Manual handling ability will be required
