Restructuring Advisory Administrator - MVL

We are searching for an experienced Restructuring Advisory Administrator - MVL. Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.
Overall job purpose
An exciting opportunity to develop a breadth of commercial skills and experience across advisory and formal members voluntary liquidation assignments with the Restructuring National Corporate Simplification team. You will assist in the delivery of orderly wind downs, corporate reorganisation assignments and work on members voluntary liquidation appointments across a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring that clients and other interested parties receive a quality service in all respects.
Responsibilities
* Complete assignments in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory obligations, confirming arrangements with the client, company, or appointer, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
* Work closely alongside other team members to plan and execute assignments, potentially managing appropriate cases as required, in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory obligations.
o Work with the National Corporate Simplification team to provide training and support to junior staff.
o Progress Members Voluntary Liquidation from commencement to closure.
o Assist with the completion and approval of engagement letters and ancillary documents.
o Complete KPIs for Manager and Partner approval.
o Ensure assigned diary lines are completed within deadlines.
o Input data onto internal systems, IPS and Virtual Cabinet.
o General case administration including raising bills.
o Members Voluntary Liquidation experience preferred with further opportunities to develop skills in this area.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Strong organisational and time management skills essential.
* Understand the challenges faced by the client and develop solutions alongside the Partner/Director and other RSM staff.
o Deal with pre-appointment matters on Members Voluntary Liquidations and pre-appointment advisory work.
o Attend initial meetings on site with the client and other RA staff.
o Communicate information required from the client.
o Analyse and challenge information received from the client, checking back to source documentation.
o Provide practical advice to the client on orderly wind down scenarios.
o Work alongside other RSM service lines on group reorganisation projects.
* Assist with client take-on procedures and timely completion of CEAP.
* Ensure that the job is completed within budget, discussing all material points arising with the assignment partner and client or appointer as they arise.
* Liaise with shareholders, directors, and other interested parties throughout any assignment, practising excellent client service at all times.
* Ensure appropriate liaison takes place with all other departments.
* Monitor the profitability and recoverability of work in progress and bill clients on a timely basis.
* Assist in marketing activities as required/available.
* Attend staff meetings and training as required.
* Maintain awareness and observation of Health and Safety issues within the Firm and report any concerns to the Health and Safety Representative.
* Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager or Head of Department.
Personal and professional qualities
* Previous experience in client handling.
* Experience in Restructuring Advisory and/or Members Voluntary Liquidations in a similar role and CPI qualified would be an advantage, but not a prerequisite as full training will be given.
* Strong organisational and time management skills with a strong commercial outlook.
* Proven communication skills due to internal and external client contact.
* Commitment to high-quality delivery within agreed timeframes.
* Interest in promoting the national service line both internally and externally.
