The Digital/ICT Department is responsible for the delivery of information systems and services to the whole organisation to support clinical and business integration. ICT leads in the development of ICT Technology strategy and directing all delivery programmes and services. ICT provides a range of critical ICT services many of which are in operational use 24 - 7. Main duties of the job The post holder will be expected to assist with all aspects of the day to day administration and management of the general IT environment as necessary, with particular emphasis on the Trust's Service Desk, desktop hardware, printing and client, application(s) and infrastructure environments. To provide technical assistance and support relating to software applications, IT equipment and user accounts management. The ICT Support Technician is to provide first & second line user support, in accordance with pre-determined standards and procedures. This post holder will be responsible for providing initial technical support to users of computer systems throughout the Trust. The post holder will have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft systems with accreditation and\or experience of working within an IT environment. You will be required to participate in a rotational on-call out of hours support service. This Role may require multisite working at either our Huntington based administration centre or at the Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge biomedical site.
