Purpose of the position:
Undertake Equipment Maintenance and repair operations focused on providing front-line business support to the highest levels of equipment availability, reliability and safety, ensuring compliance with legislation relating to equipment assets. This could involve a variety of jobs relating to maintaining, repairing, and replacing assets around the site, whether it be specific pieces of equipment, works to a building, or to the wider site infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring plant and equipment remain in a safe operating condition.
2. Ensure equipment remains reliable and in compliance.
3. Complete planned preventive and reactive maintenance on various production and manufacturing equipment.
4. Complete reactive repairs as needed ensuring work quality meets required standards.
5. Ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and all records are maintained in accordance with the CMMS, computerized maintenance management system.
6. Supporting other trades tasks as required.
7. Excellent self-management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
8. Team player with the ability to work well within a diverse team.
9. Positive and confident character.
10. Ability to see tasks through to completion, delivering on commitments.
11. Maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
12. Understanding and use of CMMS.
13. Extensive technical understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.
14. Strong technical Health and Safety understanding focused on equipment.
Certification:
1. Completed a recognised apprenticeship (Essential) i.e. Electrical, mechanical or multiskilled (desirable).
2. Holds a supportive engineering or maintenance qualification at level 3 or above i.e. NVQ Level 3 or BTEC ONC /HNC (essential).
3. IOSH Safety certification (Desirable).
4. Working at Heights, IPAF Licence (Essential).
5. Driving licence (Essential).
6. Certified in compliance matters; E.g. Machinery Safety, DSEAR, PUWER etc. (Desirable).
7. City & Guilds or equivalent in Machine Tool Maintenance (Desirable).
Experience:
Previous experience of working in a Production Maintenance team. (Essential)
