Job Purpose
As the Marketing Director you'll be at the forefront of shaping and driving the marketing strategy to elevate our portfolio of brands across the UK. This role is critical in growing our brand presence, driving customer engagement, and ensuring alignment with our overarching strategic goals.
The Marketing Director will lead a dynamic team, drive customer-centric campaigns, and leverage data and insights to continuously optimise marketing efforts and enhance the group's reputation, reach, and impact. The role will also play a key part in championing Outcomes First Groups vision and mission ensuring the delivery of compelling messages to engage internal and external audiences and amplify our reputation as a Great Place to Work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with business goals to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
2. School marketing: Lead marketing initiatives to support our 90+ UK schools to promote and manage their brands.
3. Growth and expansion: Support opportunities for growth and guide expansion into new services and markets.
4. Internal comms and Engagement: Oversee the development and implementation of strategies to communicate our culture, inform and engage teams and position us as a great place to work.
5. Brand: Develop and manage the UK portfolio of brands ensuring consistency and alignment with the Group brand.
6. Employer brand: Collaborate with HR and Recruitment teams to strengthen our reputation as an employer of choice, attracting and retaining top talent.
7. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align marketing strategies with business and customer objectives.
8. Performance Reporting: Monitor and report on marketing KPIs, adjusting strategies based on data and insights.
9. Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and return on investment.
10. Reputation Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to manage crisis communications and safeguard the group's reputation through consistent, transparent messaging.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
Marketing Leadership: Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within a multi-site or service-based organisation. Strong track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and brand awareness.
Brand and Communications: Deep understanding of brand management and the ability to maintain consistency across multiple brands. Experience in developing compelling campaigns that resonate with both internal and external audiences.
Stakeholder Management Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, HR, and external partners. Strong communication skills to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and align marketing efforts with broader business objectives.
Digital Marketing Knowledge: Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, social media, and content marketing. Data-driven mindset, with experience in marketing analytics, performance tracking, and reporting.
Employer Branding and Talent Attraction: Experience in leading employer branding initiatives to attract and retain top talent. Proven ability to work closely with HR and recruitment teams to position the company as an employer of choice.
Team Leadership and Development: Strong leadership skills with experience in managing leading and developing a marketing team. Ability to inspire creativity, collaboration, and drive results within a team environment.
Budget and Resource Management: Experience in managing a marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, and delivering results within budget constraints.
Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Highly adaptable with the ability to pivot and adjust strategies based on changing business needs, market conditions, and data insights.
Desirable:
* Professional marketing qualifications (e.g., CIM or equivalent).
* Experience in the education, care, or not-for-profit sectors.
* Familiarity with public sector marketing and working with local authorities.
* Knowledge of CRM, marketing automation tools, and data-driven customer engagement strategies.
* Understanding of reputation management and crisis communications.
