Description of the Sales and Marketing Assistant Role:
As a Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will play a big part in our sales and marketing processes, gaining hands-on experience and skills, as well as exposure to various aspects of the printed advertising industry. This role is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in sales and marketing, enabling you to develop your skills and take on more responsibility within sales for the company later on. This is a full-time hybrid role based mainly at our office in Petersfield, working hours of 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. You will be expected to work within the office 3/4 days a week, with the remaining days being worked remotely.
Key Responsibilities for the Sales and Marketing Assistant:
1. Collaborate with our Graphic Designer to develop and execute marketing strategies and targeted campaigns for our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, etc) – we want you to bring your amazing marketing ideas to life to help generate more business.
2. Content creation for both social media and hard copy publications.
3. Support sales activities by prospecting and closing potential new customers for bookings for our different business branches.
4. Participate in sales meetings on occasion, discussing targets and ways to generate more leads.
5. Complete necessary sales and marketing administration tasks, including updating CRM system (training will be provided), customer care calls and being the first point of contact for any incoming telephone enquiries.
6. Flexibility is required for supporting the accounts and distribution teams where necessary (all training to be provided on these areas when needed).
Requirements for the Sales and Marketing Assistant:
1. It would be ideal to be a recent graduate with a degree in business and marketing, or a professional with around a year of experience in sales/marketing. However, this is not essential – a passion for sales and marketing with a desire for a career in the industry is the most important.
2. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats – good telephone manner is key.
3. A willingness to learn and grow, both personally and with the company.
4. Excellent organisational and time management abilities, being able to manage multiple tasks at once is essential.
5. Eager and able to take initiative and contribute to a dynamic team, as well as confidence in working independently and without supervision.
6. Full driving licence required.
