Job summary
The Emergency Unit (EU) at Withybush General Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to undertake the role of Emergency Unit Receptionist.
The post holder staffs the Reception Desk and facilitates the smooth running of the EU in conjunction with the EU Team.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include registering all new EU patients, ensuring accurate filing/ collection and onward transmission of all patient records and taking and relaying information related to patient care, answer telephone queries in a courteous and efficient manner, referring to a Registered Nurse those telephone queries requiring patient care/ advice.
You will also inform the Nurse-in-charge of any patient presenting in distress, or who appear acutely unwell at any time, report any concerns about patients' well being, complaints or queries regarding a patient's condition to the relevant clinician.
The post covers a 24 hour period.
