For genuine occupational requirements, we require female candidates for this client.
Our client leads an active lifestyle; therefore, a successful applicant will hold a full clean UK driver's license to drive the client's vehicle. Would you like to do live-in care every other week; 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off? Would you like a rewarding role in which you can support a client one-to-one in their own home? Come and join one of the UK's largest providers of complex care. Within the Care in the Home division, we support clients with complex care to live independently in their own homes. We'd like you to join us as a Live In Support Worker to support our brand new female client who lives in Northallerton.
Main duties of the job
Meet the client: Looking for a care team to support me in my brand new home. I would get on well with someone who is chatty and outgoing, who likes to have a laugh. I like to go out in my mobility car, even if this is for a drive to the coast and an ice cream. I would like a support worker who respects my home and who is willing to build a trusting working relationship.
What you'll be doing: This role is to support our brand new female client in her own home who has suffered a spinal cord injury. The client requires support with moving and handling, personal care and hygiene, peg feeds, cough assist, and NIV. Full clinical training will be provided. A double-up team will be supporting at periods throughout the day to assist at key times while the client regains physical strength. You will be required to drive our client's vehicle so the client can actively access the community. Therefore, you must hold a full UK driver's license to drive the client's car.
