ABOUT THE PROJECT
We are looking for a senior, experienced, versatile technology thought leader to join our DevOps Core Services team on a full-time, permanent basis. As an exceptional individual who can help shape our multi-year DevOps vision for our organization spanning the globe and impacting an engineering community of over 45,000 people. Working for our Jenkins CI Platform, you will have a strategy mindset and will engage directly with the architecture, engineering, and tooling teams globally to help govern and deliver our strategy.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure that all build and design align to high level architecture principles and overall strategy.
* Provide mentoring and guidance to more junior members of the team, helping to develop their technical and soft skills in a safe, nurturing environment.
* Work with the build team in order to design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure using industry best practices.
* Ensure that all build activity aligns to best practice.
* Using Google Cloud Platform, and products such as Cloud Storage, Cloud Logging, Pub/Sub and Dataflow.
* Design, implementation of observability tools such as logging and metrics.
* Design and implement modular shared pipeline components.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE
* Strong experience in CI/CD
* Advanced knowledge and experience using CloudBees Jenkins (Installation, configuration, and administration)
* Experience of Cloud Platforms specifically Google Cloud Platform and interacting with Cloud Storage, Big Query and Cloud Logging
* Container orchestration with Kubernetes, with on one or more of GKE, AKS, EKS, and experience with container management tooling.
* Strong experience in development of Object-Oriented code (such as Python and Groovy)
* Strong experience with declarative Jenkins pipeline development
* Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
* Strong experience with DevOps release principles
* Experience leading a pod and assisting with the grooming and handling of a product backlog.
* Familiarity with agile scrum processes along with Cost optimization design for solutions
* Experience with core technical integrations with security and change management tooling such as SNOW, SAST/DAST tooling.
* Strong communicator and being able to interact with a range of stakeholders such as engineering teams and senior management.
OPTIONAL/NICE TO HAVE
* Understanding of NFRs and meeting through design and delivery. Certification in at least the solution architect level and in more than 1 cloud service providers
* IaC tools and techniques and understanding everything-as-code principles (e.g. terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM templates and GCP deployment manager)
* Experience applying DevOps principles to COTS and PaaS products like SAP, Oracle, Salesforce or administering them.
* Experience with implementing banking regulations for IT solutions.
