Job overview
We are recruiting for an Occupational Health Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will provide a range of services which protect and promote the health and wellbeing of people at work. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of agreed health at work policies, procedures, protocols and standards of practice.
You will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,258 and a maximum payment of £2,121.

Main duties of the job
1. To provide a range of services which protect and promote the health and wellbeing of people at work.
2. To promote and maintain high standards of health and safety amongst staff in line with legislation, national guidelines and local policy.
3. To work in partnership with the Health at Work team to provide evidence-based impartial work health advice to managers and employees.
4. To develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other teams such as Infection Prevention and Control, Human Resources, Health and Safety and Training.
5. To participate and promote new health at work initiatives and developments in practice.
6. To contribute to the development and implementation of agreed health at work policies, procedures, protocols and standards of practice.

Qualifications / Training
* Registered Adult Nurse, on the NMC register
* Diploma/ Degree in Occupational Health
* Health and Safety training
* Health promotion training
Previous Experience
* Assessing physical and mental health
* Offering health and wellbeing promotion advice
* Writing clear and accurate electronic records
* Prioritising own workload to meet deadlines
* Providing a high standard of customer service
* Experience of health at work / occupational health nursing
* Planning and coordinating health promotion
* Giving immunisations
* Taking blood samples
Skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills
* Providing emotional support
* Ability to adapt to change & have a flexible approach
* Able to travel to clinics across the county
