Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement (JBCE) is recruiting a Visitor Environment Assistant to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for visitors and staff in our UNESCO World Heritage Site and Tourist Attraction in Macclesfield, Cheshire. In this crucial role, you will complete tasks such as: Cleaning of Facilities: Complete a range of daily cleaning tasks in the visitor attraction ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the site. Minor building maintenance: Maintain a high standard of health and safety standards by repairing and maintaining the buildings at Jodrell Bank. Grounds maintenance: Support the UOM team will maintenance of the grounds with tasks such as leaf blowing, jet washing and branch removal. Reporting and identifying damage to the property: Have a keen eye for detail and H&S protocol by reporting any damage to the premises, equipment, or furnishings. Event construction: Help set up rooms and furnishing for meetings and events at the site. Porterage of goods and deliveries: Move equipment, deliveries and stock around the campus on behalf of the team. This role requires own transport as Jodrell Bank is a rural location with no public transport. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning or facilities roles, a strong work ethic, and be punctual and reliable. Teamwork skills, excellent communication, and a positive attitude are also essential.
