We’re working on behalf of a leader in global FMCG who is looking for a National Account Director to take strategic ownership of key customers in the discount channel.
This role is responsible for a nine-figure P&L across core discounters while leading & developing a lean commercial team to deliver strategic growth across the customers.
The Role
* Take ownership of the strategic agenda for a major UK grocery retailer, driving sustainable partnership growth over the long term.
* Inspire and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and deep customer connection.
* Craft and deliver a robust commercial strategy, balancing immediate revenue targets with long-term brand and category development.
* Lead the negotiation and execution of Joint Business Plans (JBPs), aligning customer goals with internal priorities for maximum impact.
* Collaborate cross-functionally, harnessing expertise from category, supply chain, and marketing to deliver seamless execution.
* Act as a senior ambassador for the business, influencing at all levels to enable outstanding collaboration and commercial success.
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience leading a top UK grocery retail account at a senior level within a large-scale FMCG business
* Strong strategic acumen, with a history of shaping and executing commercial growth strategies.
* Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing team.
* A track record of delivering profitable growth, managing large P&Ls and complex retailer negotiations.
* Deep knowledge of the UK grocery retail landscape, shopper behavior, and category trends.
