Employee Relations Manager

Salary: £47,000 – £55,000 per annum
A leading cultural and academic organisation is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to provide dedicated HR support to one of its key departments. This role will play a central part in delivering people-focused solutions during a period of organisational change, with a particular emphasis on employee relations and workforce realignment.
Working at both strategic and operational levels, you’ll partner with senior managers to advise on a wide range of HR matters and support the implementation of new ways of working. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring fair, consistent, and effective HR practices throughout a period of significant transition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality HR advice and support on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
* Act as a key point of contact for line managers and leadership, offering clear, practical guidance.
* Lead on complex casework, ensuring outcomes align with policy, employment law, and organisational values.
* Support the design and implementation of workforce change initiatives, including restructures, role changes, and consultation processes.
* Build effective working relationships across teams and contribute to the development of HR policies and processes.
You’ll be an experienced HR professional with a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent), and a strong background in employee relations. You’ll have demonstrable experience managing complex HR cases and advising at a senior level. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to influence, build credibility, and deliver pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced environment.
