Position Requirements:
1. At least 10 years of legal experience in the area of wills and estate planning;
2. Superior knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and math;
3. Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands;
4. Attention to detail;
5. Ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks with tight deadlines;
6. Ability to self-direct and work independently;
7. Knowledge of relevant computer applications to produce legal correspondence and documents;
8. Ability to learn further software related to the job.
Job Description:
You will provide legal administrative support to a number of lawyers in our office with established wills and estates practices. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Taking estate and will files with instructions provided by the lawyer and the ability to work on the file from start to finish with supervision;
2. Drafting wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements and estate documents;
3. Scheduling appointments for the lawyers and entering in calendar;
4. Telephone calls to clients, banks, investment companies, accountants, and other individuals and organizations;
5. Arranging to retain services of accountants for income tax purposes re estates;
6. Keeping clients updated as to the progress of their files;
7. Schedule discussions with the responsible lawyer on files which require a legal opinion;
8. Communication with your co-workers;
9. General office duties including providing reception relief to our receptionist during breaks and vacation.

Salary: $80,000+ depending on experience
