About the Role:
As a Nursery Room Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting a dedicated team of nursery assistants in creating an engaging and educational environment for children. Depending on the room you manage, you could be working with babies aged 6 months and older, or children between the ages of 2-4 years.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading and supporting your team to ensure high-quality care and education
2. Overseeing the safeguarding of children
3. Implementing and reviewing learning plans to ensure each child's development is supported
4. Providing strong leadership to promote positive relationships within the team
5. Ensuring that all nursery policies and procedures are followed
About You:
1. You have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare (essential)
2. You have experience working in a childcare setting, with strong leadership and organisational skills
3. You must be able to drive as we are located on the edge of Newton Abbot and Torquay
4. You have a passion for working with children and helping them grow in a safe, nurturing environment
Working Hours & Benefits:
1. Full-time hours, 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM (or 4 days a week if preferred)
2. Competitive rate of pay between £11.85 - £13.25 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications
