Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £75 - £90 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Temporary, with Potential for Permanent Placement
About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students and teachers in a welcoming primary or secondary school in Newcastle. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people reach their full potential and can provide support to students with a range of learning needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment, assisting with both individual and small group support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
* Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students as needed
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Assist with record-keeping and provide feedback to teachers on student progress
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role (preferred but not essential)
* A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their learning journey
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well as part of a team and follow teacher guidance
* Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (preferred)
