TEAM
Reporting into the Senior finance manager – central planning, this role is responsible for maintaining an overview of easyJet’s long term financial projections (P&L, cash, and balance sheet). This team acts as the communication hub between the business and senior management, providing insight and analysis for both internal decision making and external communications with the market. This role provides the opportunity to business partner with a wide range of departments and help inform decisions that will shape the financial performance of easyJet.
JOB PURPOSE
1. Ownership of the easyJet long-term financial planning model
2. Business partnering with financial and non-financial business partners to formulate an overall picture of easyJet financial projections
3. The direct financial preparation of all long-term and cash flow forecasting
4. Ensuring the accuracy and validity of financial plans and providing a support structure to challenge business inputs
5. KPI reporting (net debt and ROCE)
6. Providing analysis on both current and future performance
7. Giving guidance based on interpretation of the key finance planning outputs
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Partnering
Provides a Business Partner framework within easyJet ensuring that the business owners are supported with the right insight and information at all times. This role is a sounding board, counsel and confidant for senior management to ensure all business plans are robust and clear.
Provides financial leadership to the easyJet Directors and their teams covering:
1. Long-term Financial Planning
2. Scenario modelling
3. Budget and Outlook Setting
4. Re-forecasting
5. Ad-hoc projects
Business Performance and Analytical support:
1. Ownership and maintenance of a complex long-term financial excel model, ensuring adequate controls are in place for key inputs and assumptions
2. Ownership of all areas of cash flow forecast and long-term financial planning from early preparation through to the final outputs
3. Prediction of future outcomes and impacts including quarterly and full year guidance to the Head of FP&A
4. Develops and prepares presentations for senior executives regarding business performance and metrics that impact business outcomes
5. Prompting of emergent risks and issues to drive strategic interventions and business action
6. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to senior Finance team regarding the use of financial insight and analysis to drive business performance and delivery
7. Understand the business’s strategic and operating plans and develop approaches to support objective decision-making across all aspects of business performance
8. Oversees a governance framework, including responsibility for ensuring integrity of analysis, which assures the quality and accuracy of insight provision across the function
9. Collaborates with senior management and business teams across easyJet to develop and implement relevant metrics and other measurements to assist in improving business planning results
People Leadership, Relationships and Influence
1. Support and guide the wider FP&A team of analysts and managers to ensure that they are competent in the selection and application of appropriate analysis and modelling techniques for business performance management
2. Designs, conducts, and directs other staff (principally finance graduate) regarding business performance and analysis that produces actionable insights
3. Maintains effective cross functional relationships
4. Effectively communicate the purpose and importance of long term and cashflow forecasting
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS & FINANCIAL TARGETS
1. Accurate forecasting of ROCE and net debt position
2. Robust and well communicated 5 year plans, scenario analysis, and budgets
3. Well run, collaborative planning processes
4. Adherence to internal and external deadlines

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Excellent excel modelling and interrogation skills and a proven track record of working with large, complex models
2. Ability to embrace large, complex, preferably fast moving, entities
3. Manages own time across variety of tasks and projects to deliver to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
4. Able to communicate and challenge effectively with key stakeholders at all seniority levels in the organisation
5. Qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualified experience
6. Able to demonstrate the commercial value of finance interventions or projects
7. Ability to explain finance to non-financial stakeholders
8. A proactive team player
9. An ability to work on own initiative, and has the confidence to offer solutions
10. A true self starter, with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm
11. Prior experience of cash flow forecasting and a detailed understanding of the airline industry preferred

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK
This full time role will be based in Luton on a hybrid working model of 60% of your working month on-site and will be 40 hours per week.
