Area Sales Engineer

You will be the first point of contact for new and existing customers, you will create strong and lasting customer relationships.
Area Sales Engineer - The Role:
Preparing and delivering high-quality quality presentations within the brand to promote products / services to new clients
Working closely with existing clients to anticipate changing needs and requirements, and being able to accurately advise on suitable options from a range of machinery
Building and maintaining excellent communication with customers through regular calls and meetings and creating regular documented customer reports.
Attendance and participation in exhibitions and conferences
Effective negotiating and closing orders in line with agreed monthly/annual sales targets
Responding to and managing customer queries on both a technical and commercial level, maintaining good relationships with clients throughout
Collaborating closely with the team to achieve company-wide success. Working to an established budget, through careful financial planning and record keeping
Area Sales Engineer - The Person:
The person who takes up this role will need to have experience of selling high value equipment in a highly-pressurised environment and understand nuances of the steel machining sector
The customer-facing nature of this role requires a Sales Engineer with an aptitude for clear communication — both verbal and written, and someone who can listen and respond in both a timely and proactive way and balance meeting client needs and expectations with business goals
Previous experience or knowledge of capital equipment sales is essential
The successful Sales Engineer will be based in the North of the UK, North West, North East, North Yorkshire or Scotland
