Description
The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through consistently remaining consumer-focused.
They are accountable for achieving this by:
1. Reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times.
2. Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service, and maintaining retail standards.
3. Contributing to efficiencies by adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines.
4. Understanding daily/weekly targets.
5. Ensuring personal awareness of all additional sales avenues, i.e., eventing, Omni, and digital channels.
6. Keeping up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities.
7. Effectively using social media to leverage opportunities to drive the business and enhance the Brand image.
8. Delivering the Brand Strategy, ensuring the delivery of an effective local plan.
9. Planning and implementing local marketing & events initiatives, aligned with Retailer activity.
10. Delivering excellence in execution of service by ensuring measures are in place to improve service levels continually.
11. Being an Ambassador for the Brand and ensuring Brand values are represented.
12. Managing refunds and complaints in line with Company guidelines.
13. Using digital tools to ensure knowledge is kept up to date.
14. Delivering a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal consumer base.
15. Developing up-to-date knowledge of products to ensure an industry-leading experience.
Operations
1. Planning to ensure the delivery of excellent standards at all times (product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, pricing).
2. Reviewing retail standards daily to ensure compliance.
3. Ensuring deliveries, stock movements, and associated administration are completed on time.
4. Ensuring all auditable processes and administration are actioned to Company guidelines.
5. Minimising stock loss by implementing Company Security Policies and Procedures.
6. Creating and maintaining a safe working environment for consumers.
7. Ensuring health & safety responsibilities achieve a minimum grading of 'Acceptable' during audits.
Commerciality
1. Managing daily replenishment and taking appropriate action where necessary.
2. Maximising sales performance by utilising commercial reports before making decisions.
3. Planning and delivering the visual merchandising layout to guidelines and within timescales.
4. Identifying stock package issues and taking corrective action.
5. Managing promotions and discounts in line with Company guidelines.
6. Identifying trends and making suggestions to enhance product performance.
Qualifications
1. Experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment.
2. Ability to drive self-development.
3. Commercial understanding and awareness of the industry.
4. Effective communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
