The role:
As a Facilities Assistant, you’ll be a vital member of the team providing support to various stakeholders on site. Day-to-day, you’ll do anything from painting doors, scrubbing a bay, or installing TVs to supporting the Facilities Manager in writing business cases, processing reactive work requests, and supporting projects.
* Work with Facilities Management (FM) staff and stakeholders to ensure FM services support the delivery of the core output of sites.
* Maintain workshop or site housekeeping standards, ensuring a clean safe working environment.
* Control of contractors, ensuring that contractors are managed in line with the policy on the QMS and any deviations are highlighted, and activity halted.
* Deliver work requests that are allocated via the system in both planned maintenance and reactive maintenance areas.
* Use mechanical handling equipment to support the operational facilities management.
This position involves manual work, which could include lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods of time.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Warminster.
Essential experience of the Facilities Assistant:
* Experience in a maintenance or construction environment.
* Knowledge of basic IT programs.
* A basic knowledge of Mechanical Repair and Overhaul activity is desirable.
