An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client’s dynamic team in Manchester, Greater Manchester. This position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality psychiatric services to adults, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions.
2. Develop and implement individualised care plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
3. Conduct assessments, manage complex cases, and provide specialist advice.
4. Engage in service evaluation, audit, and research to enhance the quality of care provided.
5. Liaise with external professionals and carers, prepare written and oral evidence for hearings, and ensure effective handover to colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
* Experience working in adult psychiatry.
* Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience in service evaluation and research is desirable.
