Job Summary
Amspec seeks an experienced Project Director to lead architectural management projects, overseeing teams and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
About the Role
This role involves leading project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards. As a senior project manager, you will develop detailed project plans, oversee all phases, and implement cost-saving measures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide guidance and support to team members.
* Budget and Cost Control: Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
* Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, promote a culture of excellence, and foster open communication among team members.
* Stakeholder Communication: Serve as primary point of contact, maintain regular communication, and facilitate meetings and presentations with clients and stakeholders.
* Quality Assurance and Control: Ensure construction activities meet quality standards, conduct site inspections, and address quality issues promptly.
* Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
* Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and building codes, implement health and safety protocols, and facilitate safety inspections.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
* SMSTS qualification.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
* Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in project management software and tools.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and building codes.
