Do you have previous volunteer or team leader experience? Our busy shop in Finchley is looking for a person who would like to train as a Lead Volunteer. We offer a friendly no-obligation taster session so you may meet the team, get a feel for the amazing atmosphere in our shop and learn more about the Trainee Lead Volunteer role.
As a Trainee Lead Volunteer in our Finchley Sue Ryder charity shop, you will support the shop management team with the day-to-day running of the shop. This is a fantastic way to develop team leader experience and enhance your communication skills.
As a Trainee Lead Volunteer, you will be one of the store’s friendly faces who will help us provide the best customer experience while playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work.
Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.
The Role – Trainee Lead Volunteer
1. Donations and Gift Aid – meet donors, receive donations, sign donors up to Gift Aid
2. Sorting, labelling, pricing of stock
3. Greeting and helping customers
4. Serving customers on the till (training provided)
5. Maintaining shop displays, re-stocking
6. Light cleaning/tidying duties to keep the shop inviting and well presented
7. When trained and confident, you can take on the responsibility of covering the shop in the absence of any paid staff
