Thanet Vets, Margate, Margate, South East
We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our Thanet Vets Family. We are a small animal first opinion practice in the lovely coastal area of Thanet Kent.
Find a place to excel
Thanet is a coastal area with a lot of lovely sandy beaches to visit. We are close to transport links for trains and the ferry should you wish to visit the city or head over to mainland Europe.
We have two clinics. Our main clinic is in Margate and is fully equipped with digital radiography with AI technology, dental radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy/bronchoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, and an in-house laboratory. It has recently been refurbished to include an additional fourth consulting room. Our Birchington branch has one consulting room and a cattery to the rear of the building.
Our supportive team
We have 5.5 vets (including yourself). We actively encourage career development to enable you to thrive in your career and your interests. We currently have vets who hold certificates or are studying for certificates in small animal surgery, diagnostic imaging, and anaesthesia and analgesia.
You will be supported by a wonderful team of 6 RVNs and 1 Student Nurse alongside a wonderful reception team. The management team has an open-door policy and is trained in leadership and wellbeing. We believe that your wellbeing is key to ensuring a happy team and working life.
What can we offer
Your working hours will be 40 hours a week over 4 days and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8.30am - 12.30pm). Work-life balance is as important to us as it is to you; we are willing to be flexible with the hours for the right candidate. The practice is open between 8am and 7pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 12.30pm Saturdays, and closed on Sunday. There are no OOH; these are covered by Vets Now.
