This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate to make a real difference to pupils and their learning outcomes. At Leeds and Broomfield, we are looking to employ a part-time teaching assistant from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM every day.
This job is a temporary position until 22nd July 2025 and is attached to higher needs funding, which is additional funding for pupils due to complex needs. Therefore, if a pupil leaves or the funding changes or is taken away, the position will no longer be needed.
Our support team works flexibly across the whole school to meet the pupils' needs. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can assist in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils, including, but not exclusively, those with special educational needs. As well as working alongside the class teacher and groups of pupils, the successful candidate may also be required to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and deliver intervention programmes to support small groups of children to raise standards.
The role requires good organisational, personal, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of children.
We require a good standard of general education and GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above.
