Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Operator to provide stores and logistics support within our Advanced Manufacturing Centre.
The Role
1. Regular and accurate stock counts including components in WIP.
2. Maintain lineside and build station stock levels to production requirements.
3. Goods inwards receipt and accurate booking in of deliveries/stocks to the facility.
4. Unloading/loading of HGV deliveries and shipments to the facility using a Forklift truck.
5. The preparation and packaging of high value engine components for international air or sea shipment.
6. The accurate booking and management of components in the stores using SAP system.
7. Housekeeping of the stores area to maintain a clean environment.
8. Regular maintenance to ensure that all areas are kept clean and tidy.
9. Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
10. Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
1. Experience in a manufacturing/engineering stores environment.
2. Some computer literacy required for stock booking transactions.
3. Forklift truck license (refresher training can be provided).
4. Reliable timekeeping and attendance.
5. Flexible attitude to working hours required.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
2. Previous stores experience an advantage.
Working Hours
The successful candidate will be expected to work alternating late and early shifts.
Week 1
Monday to Thursday: 06:00 to 14:00
Friday: 06:00 to 13:00
Week 2
Monday to Thursday: 14:00 to 22:00
Friday: 13:00 to 20:00
