Job summary 22 hours per week The ideal candidate will be an experienced nurse with specialist dermatology skills, able to assess and treat patients with chronic inflammatory skin conditions including as eczema and psoriasis. The post holder will be part of the existing multidisciplinary team for systemic and biologic therapy, which currently consists of a Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Specialist and a therapies co-ordinator. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure that high quality care is provided for all patients, adhering to national guidance. You must be able to manage your own time effectively and work as part of a team, as you will be managing patients in your own clinic sessions and participating in patient reviews/presentations with members of the multi-disciplinary team. Main duties of the job The post holder will be expected to demonstrate they can work independently, showing initiative and managing their own caseload. You will support the patient pathway by providing advice and guidance to follow up patients, who have been commenced on a care pathway by a senior clinician. You will work independently in nurse led clinics, providing treatment and monitoring for patients prescribed systemic and biologic therapies. You will support and advise patients on the promotion of health, providing education to patients and their relatives where appropriate on the various treatment therapies offered by the Dermatology department. You will work closely with the Medical team, senior nurses in chronic inflammatory skin and the Biologics & Systemics Co-ordinator, forging good working relationships within this and the wider Dermatology team. You may be expected to liaise with professionals from other NHS trust as required for patient care, alongside representatives from other agencies as necessary. You will be willing to undertake training in non-medical prescribing, if not already achieved and attend study pertinent to the role.
