Role Overview
Leading UK tech company is looking for a Geospatial Analyst to play a vital role in supporting the development and operation of key products within the business. In this position, you will assist in maintaining and optimising GIS infrastructure, with a particular focus on enhancing our Network Plan and supporting the full life-cycle of UK wide infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced GIS professional to contribute to innovative, sustainable projects at the forefront of the clean energy industry.
Required Skills & Experience
Geospatial Expertise:
* Extensive experience with the ESRI ArcGIS suite of products, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
* Advanced skills in geospatial analysis and cartographic design, including creating high-quality map outputs for legal and promotional use.
* Proficient in GIS editing, with experience automating tasks using scripting languages.
* Strong understanding of UK geospatial data, including map projections, transformations, and geospatial data standards.
* Experience in web map creation, custom web applications, and dashboards for sharing geospatial insights.
Data Management & SQL Expertise:
* Advanced knowledge of SQL Server database management, with experience in T-SQL scripting for data analysis and management.
* Proficient in data presentation, ensuring that geospatial insights are clear, accessible, and actionable.
* Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (expert level), Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Knowledge of requirements for producing land registry-compliant legal plans.
* Proficiency in R/Posit for geospatial data analysis and automation.
* Experience using Power BI to visualize geospatial and other datasets.
Required Qualifications:
* Degree-level education in GIS, Geography, or a related field.
* Full UK driving license (for potential site visits).
