Position Profile
The Project Accountant Intercompany will play a critical role in managing financial transactions across entities, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting key projects that drive business improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to process enhancements and gain significant exposure to international financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in intercompany accounting.
* Work closely with project managers to provide financial insights, track costs, and drive projects to completion.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for all intercompany and project-related financial transactions.
* Process intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate recording in the general ledger.
* Generate intercompany invoices, maintaining compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
* Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of intercompany accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
* Collaborate with finance teams across multiple departments and international offices to facilitate transactions and ensure data integrity.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, FRS 102, and other relevant regulations.
* Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring accurate reflection of intercompany transactions.
* Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
Person Profile
* Qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), part-qualified and qualified by experience candidates will be considered
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and project management.
* Experience in intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes.
* Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work across multiple teams.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation and reporting.
* Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
