Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity - Small Animal Practice (Wednesday to Friday)
I am working with an Independent Practice in Nottingham who are looking for a skilled and confident Veterinary Surgeon to join their small animal practice on a permanent part-time basis, working Wednesday to Friday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. This is an exciting opportunity for a vet who enjoys a balance of both surgical and consulting duties in a friendly and supportive environment.
About the Role:
* Working Hours: Wednesday to Friday, 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
* No Out-of-Hours (OOH) Work - enjoy a healthy work-life balance with no night or emergency callouts.
* Small Animal Practice: Focused on providing high-quality care to pets in the local community.
Clinical Responsibilities:
* Routine Consultations: Diagnose and manage a range of small animal cases, providing preventative healthcare advice and ongoing treatment for a variety of conditions.
* Surgical Procedures: Confidently perform routine and non-routine surgeries, including neutering, soft tissue surgeries, and minor orthopedic procedures.
* Medical Diagnostics: Utilise diagnostic tools such as blood tests, radiography, and ultrasound to diagnose and treat patients.
* Client Communication: Provide clear, compassionate advice and treatment plans to pet owners, maintaining strong client relationships.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary nurses and support staff to deliver the highest standard of care.
What You'll Need to Work as a Veterinary Surgeon:
* RCVS Registration: You must be fully registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) to practice as a veterinary surgeon in the UK.
* Confident Surgical and Consulting Skills: You should be comfortable handling a range of small animal surgeries and consulting confidently with clients.
* Compassion and Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver compassionate care to pets and clear advice to their owners.
* Commitment to Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in veterinary care through ongoing professional development.
