Role - FLT Operator Location - DS Smith Packaging, Dodwells Rd, Hinckley LE10 3BX, UK Pay - £14.94 per hour, potential opportunity for OT as x1.5 of the basic Job Type - Contractual, Initially till end of April,2025 with the possibility of extension Shift - Monday - 1am – 6am, Tuesday to Thursday 10pm – 6am finishing 6 am Friday morning Start: Asap Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently move products around the factory. Load and unload vehicles as required. Assist the production team with the movement of board and other materials. Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines, including operating within DS Smith’s safe systems of work. Take accountability for your own and others’ health and safety. Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the Forklift Truck is in good working order and report any maintenance issues promptly. Remain aware of your surroundings and follow workplace transport guidelines set by the company. Work effectively with various personnel within your area of production. Experience Needed: Essential experience as a Forklift Driver; full training will be provided. Experience with loading and unloading different types of pallets and working in a manufacturing environment is required. Working knowledge of good health and safety practices. Proven ability to work towards KPIs and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Good understanding of receiving stock and checking paperwork. Ability to make informed decisions.
