Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join the North West Leicestershire GP Federation to support the Primary Care Network, as part of our Clinical Pharmacist Team. Clinical Pharmacists are supported and mentored by our Senior Clinical Pharmacist and Leadership Team, and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing environment. You would be supported to develop your role and to become a non-medical prescriber, if not already. The post holder will be employed by North West Leicestershire Federation and this position would be based at Castle Donington Surgery. Main duties of the job You will take responsibility for medicines management, clinical medication reviews, improving prescribing processes and patient safety alerts. The post holder will be the primary support to general practice staff with regards to drugs monitoring, helping to support the repeat prescription system and dispensing team. You will work with the wider GP Federation Pharmacy team and will be joining a dynamic forward thinking team. This is an opportunity to develop yourself and successful candidates will be required and supported to enrol onto (if not already completed) CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy education pathway and following this an Independent Prescribing qualification.
