What skills and experience we're looking for
We are now looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who has the tenacity, skills and flexibility to work in a fast-moving environment and the passion to help our children to progress and develop. This post would suit someone looking for a career as Teaching Assistant or for experience to support a step into teaching.
The successful candidate will have Maths and English GCSE, grade C of above, strong IT skills, well developed organisational and communication skills and a basic understanding of child development and learning strategies. An awareness of special educational needs and disabilities would be useful. The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties including: supporting pupils’ learning and overall well-being; assisting teachers and other colleagues in the classroom and in small group interventions; recording and collating information; developing good relationships with parents/carers, colleagues and partner organisations; preparing classroom resources, equipment and materials; and supporting the implementation of whole school strategies, including literacy.

The post holder will also be a coach and fully involved in our Coaching programme and House system, flexible learning and invigilation duties. We welcome applicants with an interest in the above and training will be provided to support the successful candidate.
