The Finance Analyst plays a vital role in optimising the financial performance of the business by collaborating with operational managers to control costs and enhance profitability. This position involves data analysis, reporting on key metrics, and supporting long-term financial planning to drive informed decision-making across the organisation. Description Key Responsibilities: Business Partnering: Collaborate with operational managers to optimise performance, control costs, and enhance profitability. Data Analysis: Provide logical data insights to support and influence decision-making across the organisation. Variance Analysis: Conduct analysis of revenue drivers and key costs, including payroll and agency expenditures. Reporting: Produce weekly occupancy reports, complete with detailed commentary and analysis. Management Information: Create and maintain MI reports and dashboards to monitor performance metrics. Financial Planning: Support the Chief Financial Officer in developing long-term rolling forecasts and budgets. Cash Flow Man Undertake additional tasks as required by the Chief Financial Officer Process Improvement: Assist in streamlining the production of management accounts through technology and process enhancements, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Finance. Account Management: Manage the production of management accounts and coach Accounts Payable and Credit Control Managers on processes such as accruals and income reconciliations. Reconciliations: Perform regular balance sheet and bank reconciliations. Audit Support: Assist the Chief Financial Officer with audit requests. Efficiency Enhancements: Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency in financial reporting and analysis. Ad-Hoc Tasks: Undertake additional tasks as required by the Chief Financial Officer. Profile A successful Finance Analyst should have: Newly Qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE). Excellent Communicator with the confidence and ability to discuss financial data and insights with senior members of the business including the CEO / CFO is essential. Advanced Excel Skills - such as pivot tables, SUMIFs, and VLOOKUPs is essential. Experience in a multi-site environment, particularly within the hospitality or health sector, is desirable.
