EHCP Officer (Post-16) London£280 per dayFully remote3 Months initallyWe are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for an EHCP Officer (Post-16) to join their Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to support young people with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) as they transition into further education, training, or employment.Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the named officer for young people and parent-carers, providing advice and guidance on EHCP statutory processes.
* Support young people with the annual review process, ensuring accurate documentation and timely amendments to EHCPs.
* Manage a high caseload of Year 11+ students, coordinating professional input and ensuring multi-agency collaboration.
* Arrange and chair annual review meetings for young people not in maintained settings.
* Ensure smooth post-16 phase transfers, including transitions from Year 11 to Year 12 and beyond.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of EHCP processes, SEND legislation, and post-16 education pathways.
* Experience managing complex cases and multi-agency collaboration.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to analyse and manage caseload data to improve service efficiency.
* Familiarity with SEND databases (e.g., Synergy) is desirable.
