Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer - Facilities Management

What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer to join the team at one of the leading construction groups in the UK, within their Facilities Management Business.
Ideally, you will be based in or around the Edinburgh area. You will be required to undertake planned maintenance of electrical plant/equipment, and associated equipment, mechanical plant & building fabric repairs as directed by the team. You will be working as part of a team covering the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring of Planned Preventative Maintenance, ensuring statutory compliance at all times.
2. Ensuring reactive, PPM tasks are completed on time.
3. Support Management with additional works for the client, building repairs and lifecycle maintenance.
4. Carry out electrical planned/reactive/additional works in clients' buildings, including minor works, repairs, fault finding and fault diagnosis.
5. Ensure compliance with the Electrical Installation Regulations (17th/18th Edition Regs) at all times, and that the appropriate materials are used.
6. To be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works.
7. Attend any tasks issued which may include non-electrical jobs for which the post holder has the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake.
8. To liaise with other staff and Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure the timely completion of works within agreed operational targets.
9. Carry out and complete all works to high quality standards and in a competent manner in accordance with Health and Safety Standards, Clients Policies and Procedures, and with the property being left in a clean and tidy condition.
10. To complete accurately all works allocated via a portable electronic device and update all tasks in a timely manner.
11. Attend Tool-Box-Talks, training and meetings as required by GTFM management.
12. To act at all times in accordance with the rules, policies, procedures and financial regulations.
13. Working hours will be based Monday to Friday and will include participation in an on-call rota covering one weekend in four.
14. Working hours will include occasional holiday cover and sickness cover.
About you:
1. Electrical Qualification - 17th Edition as a minimum although 18th Edition training will be provided if required.
2. Experience working as part of an FM team in healthcare would be advantageous.
3. Experience within a facilities management/Hospital environment.
4. The successful applicant must clear a PVG Disclosure check.
5. Time served apprenticeship would be essential.
