In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to drive business engagement. You will play a key role in delivering in-depth insights into revenue and cost of sales, enhancing financial understanding, mitigating risks, and equipping the business to boost performance and profitability. Additionally, you will lead forecasting and budgeting processes, provide valuable insights and modelling, and support new business opportunities and M&A activities. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, becoming the primary finance contact for your areas of responsibility and establishing yourself as a vital and trusted member of their management teams. Lead and refine revenue and cost of sale (CoS) recognition methodologies to ensure accuracy and effective reporting. Gain in-depth knowledge of revenue details by key client and CoS specifics, becoming the go-to expert on these topics. Create detailed budgets, forecasts, rolling forecasts, and 3-year strategic plans that meet business deadlines, supporting these processes with clear communication and high-quality deliverables. Assist in enhancing KPI reporting by improving existing metrics and identifying new, relevant KPIs. Drive continuous improvement and process standardisation, including the implementation of best practices and automation initiatives, in collaboration with technology teams. Perform ad hoc analysis and contribute to projects as needed. Provide active support to the management accounts team by sharing insights and knowledge to foster commercial understanding across teams. Please read on for the essential skills our client is hoping you will be able to showcase: Must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with over 3 years of post-qualification experience, including expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development. Proven ability to work independently with a successful track record in handling challenging situations. Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across the business. Advanced Excel proficiency, capable of managing large and complex data sets, and quick to adapt to new IT systems, including bespoke software.
