Our Community Healthcare Support Service provides access to a range of supported self-management and community recovery services to support people across Scotland in managing their health and adjusting to life after a diagnosis of a chest or heart condition or after a stroke.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Shop Manager for our shop in Stockbridge. Working 2 days out of seven, including weekends per rota, you will be responsible for leading a team to engage with the community to deliver the set Key Performance Indicators. You will have the autonomy to be innovative in achieving your targets.

About the role and why we need you
To support the delivery of our ambitious NLHL strategy, CHSS is seeking to appoint a Deputy Head of Service Delivery (Triage, Clinical & Support Line Operations). In this role, the postholder will support the Head of Service Delivery in the operational execution of our clinical services across Scotland and implement a unified single point of access to CHSS services. This will ensure that routes into our service provision for partners, referrers, and those with our conditions, are effective, meet their needs, and enhance the overall value of our offerings.
The postholder will work in collaboration with the Deputy Head of Community Support Services to facilitate a whole-system approach to supported self-management and will be responsible for leading a team of clinical and operational services staff and volunteers to oversee the operational delivery of the Services Plan with a specific focus on Stroke Nurse and Advice Line service delivery, in line with our No Life Half Lived Strategy.
CHSS is seeking a strong leader who has knowledge of the health and social care landscape and who understands the evolving needs of service delivery and supported self-management. Applicants should possess a current NMC or HCPC professional registration and bring strong leadership experience with excellent communication and organizational skills. Confidence in IT skills and experience working to a high professional standard using own initiative is essential.

You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people with chest, heart, and stroke conditions to live life to the full again. Our Hospital to Home services form a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers, and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.
Running the store on a Sunday for 4 hours and flexing up the remainder 4 hours to support the store during the week also requires flexibility to cover annual leave throughout the year when needed.
