Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity? We are pleased to offer you the chance to work as an Assistant Practitioner in the Mental Health Liaison Service (MHLS) in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, forward-thinking individual who thrives on working in a stimulating, highly pressured, strongly supported environment.
We are a dynamic, rapidly evolving service covering all ages over 16 years in a 1254-bed busy general hospital dealing with over 400 referrals per month.
Main duties of the job
Your role would require you to have core competencies across all mental health presentations and is highly valued by all disciplines within the team. As an assistant practitioner, you will work both jointly with other members of the multi-disciplinary team as well as independently. The role includes regular service user support, review and treatment alongside liaison with NNUH, NSFT and external professionals including carers. Assistant Practitioners in our team play a key role in discharge planning and in optimising service user care.
You will be part of an effective mutually supportive clinical team which undertakes highly complex assessments and treatment of service users who are patients in the NNUH (ward and A&E). The post will have strong support from experienced Clinical Band 6 Assessors, an established management team, Band 4 Assistant Practitioners, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists and an admin team.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care/mental health or apprenticeship in H&SC/mental health L5
* Care certificate or relevant equivalent.
Experience
* Working with Service Users with mental health needs
* Working within Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
* Working knowledge and understanding of CPA process.
Skills
* Ability to communicate widely in a clear manner

* Confident manner.
* Approachable, tactful and diplomatic
