There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Eastern Counties Division are looking to recruit a Sales Progressor to join the Division’s Sales team.
The Role
The role of Sales Progressor is responsible for moving sales from reservation stage through to contract exchange and completion, driving for this to happen in the shortest possible timescale while ensuring that maximum profit is achieved through the effective management of the sales team’s progression, all while providing a high level of service to our customers. The Sales Progressor also provides administrative backup to the Sales Director/Head of Sales/Sales Office Manager.
Overall principle accountabilities of the role include:
1. Ensure that communication is maintained between Bellway’s nominated solicitor and the customers’ solicitor to strive for contract exchange by the specified reservation expiry date.
2. Liaise between the divisional office-based sales team, Sales Advisors, and Lenders/Brokers/Estate Agents to ensure all stakeholders are adequately informed about the progress of each individual sale in the sales pipeline.
3. Investigate and resolve any problems, particularly those sales involving multiple chains.
4. Occasionally act as an additional point of contact for our customers to guide them through the contract/completion process, providing a central point of contact to ensure the process runs smoothly, particularly for customers unfamiliar with legal terminology.
5. Ensure our customers receive the highest levels of service at all times.
6. Resolve any ad-hoc or minor queries that may not necessarily need to be directed to the legal team, allowing the conveyancers to focus on more complex inquiries and achieve a prompt exchange of contracts/completion.
7. Ensure Sales Advisors provide accurate, regular updates (at least weekly) and provide support to them when required.
8. Provide a weekly update report to Senior Management as required.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Experience
1. Knowledge of the housing market and conveyancing process is desirable.
2. Experience working in a sales-targeted environment.
3. Experience building effective working relationships within a team.
Qualifications and Training
1. No formal qualifications are necessary, but evidence of relevant experience and skills will be required.
Skills and Aptitude
1. A dynamic and proactive approach is essential.
2. A patient and tenacious approach to all aspects of the role.
3. Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.
