Essential Qualifications
1. Knowledge and understanding of financial planning, management, and financial framework in a large organisation – preferably local government.
2. Participation in Continuing Professional Development.
3. Part Qualified/Commenced studying towards a CCAB or Equivalent Relevant Finance Qualification or AAT qualified.
4. Accounting and budgetary experience and an understanding of accounting principles and standards, statutory requirements, and relevant codes of practice.
5. Good communication, influencing, and presentation skills with a proactive approach to work, including identifying and resolving problems/issues.
6. Staff management experience.
7. Ability to interpret financial data/information, apply logic and judgment.
8. Ability to work in a pressured environment with conflicting demands.
9. Ability to work effectively within a team.
10. Ability to fully utilise standard Microsoft Office products.
