Technical Knowledge/Qualification's
1. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship and/or Licensed Aircraft Engineer
2. 5 years' experience in aviation industry
3. Familiarisation with Gas Turbine Engines
4. Experience of Line/Base Maintenance experience on PWC 500, PWC PT6A, PWC JTI 5D, or Honeywell TFE731 Series Turbine Engines (preferable)
5. Aged over 21 (aviation authority requirement)
6. Total quality principles, attention to detail and high level of concentration
7. PC literate
8. Valid Passport (minimum 6 months validity) for overseas travel
Key Responsibilities
Production duties including Field Service work
9. Strip engines, modules or components in line with engineering instructions
10. Carry out basic cleaning of components
11. Inspect relevant components and identify items for scrap, rework or refit with reference to and interpretation of relevant production information and Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM) manuals in accordance with Company Procedures and Quality Manual
12. Ensure all items required for rebuilding are to the required specifications and are available in line with agreed turn time targets
13. Build engines, modules or components to defined standard ensuring fits & clearances and modification standards are accurate
14. Prepare rebuilt unit for testing
15. Where applicable, set up engine, test and ensure all agreed checks are actioned
16. Carry out final checks on completed unit ensuring all paperwork is appropriately stamped
17. Utilise IT systems as appropriate
18. Respond to field trip requests when requested
