Job Title: Quality Document Controller
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Location: Luton, UK
As a Quality Document Controller for my client based in Luton, you will work as part of a team to ensure that all Supplier Quality Plans and documents comply with relevant codes, standards, and specifications. You will be responsible for ensuring that corrective actions are taken when required, maintaining the integrity of documentation, and supporting quality control processes.
What you will do:
* Review and accept supplier certificates, welding documents, quality plans, and quality documents for relevant projects.
* Where required, review/check and stamp all internal manufacturing certifications.
* Ensure the correct storage of Supplier Documentation for all projects.
* Compile Data Books for customer delivery.
* Raise and manage Non-conformance (SCAR/CAPA) investigations and resolutions, liaising with purchasing and suppliers as needed.
* Verify and check external documents against relevant codes, standards, material specifications from suppliers, ensuring validity of Material Certificates (Mechanical Properties, Chemical Composition, etc.), Inspection Test Plans/Control Plans, Test Results, Concessions/Permits, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), Manufacturing Certificates, and Certificates of Conformance.
* Interpret and confirm welding documents.
* Cross-check supplier documents against HT PO, procedures/drawings, and contract/standard requirements.
* Ensure that purchased raw materials, products, or services meet customer requirements.
* Liaise with the HT Welding Engineer to compile and validate correct welding certifications.
* Review enquiry documents and prepare summary QA/QC documentation for quotation submissions.
* Support Quality Assurance Engineers and assist with internal audits.
* Prepare and maintain product specifications and process procedures.
* Review concessions/permits and project non-conformances.
* Prepare and control contract quality plans (ITP) for contracts.
* Review and verify documentation required by the quality plan (ITP) for contracts.
What you will need:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF, and Outlook.
* Solid knowledge of relevant design codes for materials (ASME Section II, British Standards, Norsok, etc.) for checking and validating certification.
* Background in Rotating Equipment Standards (API, Norsok, or equivalent).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of NDT practices and the ability to interpret drawings.
* Proficiency in using HT software, including Epicor, Agility, ECR System, and CAPA System (desirable)
